PASOS PARA COMPLETAR SU SOLICITUD


El Departamento de Asuntos Comunitarios de Nueva Jersey (NJDCA, por sus siglas en inglés) recibió más de $ 1 billon en fondos de asistencia de emergencia para el alquiler para brindar asistencia de alquiler a las familias elegibles que se vieron afectadas durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Hay tres programas en los que las familias afectadas pueden ser elegibles.

Asistencia de emergencia para el alquiler (ERA) y programa de prevención de desalojos (EPP)

ERA1

  • ✔ Hasta 15 Meses de rentas vencidas y rentas futuras
  • Sin límites en la asistencia mensual
    (con documentación aprobada)
  • Debe verse afectado financieramente por
    COVID-19

ERA2

  • Hasta 18 Meses de rentas vencidas y rentas futuras
  • Sin límites en la asistencia mensual
    (con documentación aprobada)
  • Debe verse afectado financieramente
    por COVID-19

PPE

  • Hasta 24 Meses de rentas vencidas y rentas futuras
  • Asistencia mensual limitada según los ingresos *
  • Debe verse afectado financieramente
    por COVID-19


* Para EPP, los solicitantes aprobados pueden ser responsables de contribuir con un mínimo del 30 % de sus ingresos mensuales para sus obligaciones mensuales de alquiler.
*Las familias de ERAP pueden recibir una combinación máxima de 24 meses de asistencia (una combinación de meses de financiación de ERAP y EPP que no exceda los 24 meses para el Nivel 1 y el Nivel 2)

Weekend Call Center Hours

Weekend Call Center hours will no longer be available effective Saturday, September 21, 2024. Weekday hours will proceed as scheduled.

Cambios al Programa de Protección contra Desalojos (EPP)

A partir del 1 de agosto de 2024, el Programa de Protección contra Desalojos (EPP) de Nueva Jersey ya no proporcionará asistencia de alquiler a los hogares que se muden a otra unidad. La asistencia del EPP terminará para los hogares que reciben EPP asistencia si se mudan a partir del 2 de agosto de 2024.

Updates to Assistance Timeframes and Service Requests

Effective August 1, 2024, the New Jersey Eviction Protection Program (EPP) will no longer provide rental assistance to households moving to another unit. EPP assistance will terminate for households receiving EPP assistance if they move on or after August 2, 2024.

Call Center Closed in Observance of Independence Day (Tuesday 7/4/2024)

The NJDCA ERAP/EPP Customer Support Call Center will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, 2024, in observance of Independence Day. The Call Center will maintain normal operating hours on Friday, July 5th, 2024. Call Center Closed in Observance of Presidents' Day (2/19/2024)

The NJDCA ERAP/EPP Customer Support Call Center will be closed on Monday, February 19, 2024, in observance of Presidents' Day. The Call Center will maintain normal operating hours on Saturday and Sunday (2/17 and 2/18; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST). Call Center Closed in Observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day (01/15/2024 )

The NJDCA ERAP/EPP Customer Support Call Center will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Call Center will maintain normal operating hours on Saturday and Sunday (1/13 and 1/14; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST). Call Center Closed in Observance of New Years (1/1/2024 - 1/2/2024)

The NJDCA ERAP/EPP Customer Support Call Center will operate with limited hours during the holiday season. Please note that on Sunday, December 31st, 2023, the Call Center will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST. In observance of New Years Day on January 1st, 2024, the Call Center will be closed, and the center will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. If you require assistance during the limited hours or closure, please visit our Service Request Page, and we'll respond upon reopening.

The COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program (CVERAP) Phase II provides temporary rental assistance to low- and moderate-income households affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.Once assistance is approved and you, as the property owner, provide the required documents, DCA will make payments directly to you.
